Isobels 1st Birthday

At the end of August my friend Isobel Mckenzie turned one. I wore my fairy wings and she was a princess. Tana was sick, so stayed home with dad and me and Mum went to the party. I really liked eating all the party food, especially the lollies. We had a great afternoon, although at the end I was a little sick from all the party food.

Play & Kai Time

Most of the time Ari and I play well. we like going outside now at our new place and play on our bikes. Although sometimes I get angry when she takes my tommy trains, but now she likes playing with her dolls and I'm teaching her all the trains names. Ari is talking lots now and is always chatting to us.

Aunty Shanshees 30th Party

At the start of May we went down to Whangamata to celebrate Aunty Shanshees 30th Birthday. It was a real fun night, especially because we had to dress up. The theme was 'around the world' and I wore my chinese outfit, Mum and Dad went as Indians & Ari wore her poncho so a little mexican.
This is a pic of us showing Aunty Dud our cook island dance moves. My chatterbox mum was too busy talking and didnt take any photos of me with the birthday girl, cant wait for the next party.

New Whare at Prospect Tce

At the end of April we moved into our new house in Prospect Tce. Everything is brand new and mum always reminds me to be very careful. Me and Ari like riding our bikes on the deck and eating our favourite ice cream on our table & chairs. Another thing we like to do is look out the front windows when people come down our driveway. Our hand prints are already covering all the windows. My room has a cool bright blue wall and Ari has bird stickers on her wall. We all love our new whare!

Bikeathon at St James Kindy

My Kindy is called 'St James Kidsway' and we had a Bikeathon to raise money for a new pirate ship for our playground. I had to do as many laps as I could in 20 minutes. Lots of kids stopped, but I kept going right to the end. Mum, Dad, Ari & PorPor cheered for me on the side and gave me a drink of water when I ran out of steam. Dad painted and did my 'bike up' so now I call it 'thomas' because I still love Tommy Trains. I did 14 laps in total & had such a great time. When it had finished we went and had Mcdonalds for a special treat for tea for biking my hardest.

Band Practice

Here we are having Band Practice with Dad. I like playing my little guitar and singing Thomas songs. Ari plays the drums and likes 'twinkle twinkle little star.' Sometimes I get to go with dad to his band practice which is lots of fun with the KBB boys.

Easter Time! Yum Yum!!

We looooooove Easter Time because we can eat Chocolate all day! We spent Easter Weekend with Aunty Mere, Rosie and Taeno at their house and had lots of easter egg hunts. Mum was away in TeAnau at Ariana's & Glenns Wedding, it was the first time she had left Ari, we werent sad but I think she was. Easter Bunny had also left us lots of treats in Ari's cot at PorPor's and we had lots of fun finding & eating them!

Bulgy & Thomas at Glenbrook Railways

It was Thomas Day again at Glenbrook Railways. We had so much fun going for a ride on the big train through the countryside. Me and Ari liked hanging out the window and listening to the loud whistle & watching all the smoke from the engine. This time Bulgy the Bus was also having rides. We sat at the top at the front and liked looking out the windows. Their was lots of people, so luckily Ari was in the backpack and once again sucking her thumb!

Auckland Zoo

In April we went and visited the Auckland Zoo. It was Ari's first time. She liked all the animals, especially the giraffes. I liked trying to find the Monkeys in the trees. I'm big so can walk around by myself, but Ari liked to sit in the buggy do her favourite thing - sucking her thumb!

Our Special Kauri Tree

On Ari's first birthday, we buried her placenta next to mine. Our special kauri Tree is in the front of PorPor & Papa's house. It is growing very big already, even though Mum says it is going to be bigger than me one day.

Water Fun

We have had lots of hot days. Now that we are back staying at PorPor & Papa's house while our new one gets built. We have lots of fun playing on the water slide & Paddling Pool. I like running really fast and slipping over. And Ari likes kicking and playing with the water.

Anna & Abby

In January we went and visited our friends Abby & Anna Pinder in Te Awamutu. They were back home on holiday from Hong Kong. We all had an awesome day playing and swimming. Ari and Abby loved crawling around and chasing each other. Next time we see them the girls will be big and hopefully walking like me.

Camping at Hot Water Beach

In the New Year Aunty Rosies whanau, Uncle Oki's whanau and us, went camping at Hot Water Beach for five days. We had hot sunny weather and had an awesome time.
I really liked sleeping in the tent and swimming everyday at the beach and stream.
Kayla and I loved climbing the trees and digging for hot water on the beach.
Ari also liked swimming and sleeping in the tent. But every morning her and cousin Pataeno would wake us up really early.
Mum said we will go camping again soon - I cant wait!

Christmas Day 2009

I was soooooo excited about Xmas this year. I left out a glass of milk and choc chip biscuits for Santa and his reindeer. In the morning I loved opening all my presents in my santa sack and helped Ari open hers too. I got a big blue bike with a thomas helmet, and Thomas the Tank Engine trains, books, scooter, clothes. Santa also left me lots of chocolate which I ate all day.

Ari also got toys and clothes and especially liked ripping all the paper and eating it.

All of my Greig whanau came to our whare for Xmas Lunch. Porpor also came as all the other Lambourne whanau were overseas.

We had an awesome day, eating, playing with my new toys and swimming in our paddling pool because it was really hot. I already cant wait until next year when Santa comes!!

My First Day at Kindy

On the 24th of November 2009, I started my first day at Afternoon Kindy at St James Kidsway in Pukekohe. I had already been for a practice day with my mum and Ari, so I wasnt nervous and didnt cry when Mum left me.

I like playing in the sand pit, listening to the stories and singing songs at mat time. My big thomas bag is filled with yummy afternoon tea, although sometimes its a bit heavy for me to carry. I only go for two afternoons a week, but next year I can go for three. My friends Laura, Tommy and Damian also go and have so much fun playing together.

Ari has stopped rolling everywhere and is now commando crawling. She also likes whizzing around everywhere in her walkie. Although now she can reach my 'tommy trains' so mum and I have to put up lots of blockers.

Cheeky!!

Ari and I love doing 'funny faces' and being cheeky. Ari especially likes snuffling where she screws up her nose and makes a sniffing noise, it makes everyone laugh. I just like having sticky cheeks after I eat my favourite ice cream.
